Mgr. Aurel Zelko PhD. (1986) finished a study of sports educology at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Comenius University in Bratislava, in 2015. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. During his practice as a lecturer, he had the opportunity to educate and later guarantee the educational programs for coaches of a Slovak Bodybuilding, Fitness and Powerlifting Association. At the present time, he is a researcher at the Institute of Physical Education and Sport, UPJS. He is a member of investigatory team of an APVV research project no. 16-0490, in which he is active on dialysed patient research. He is interested in possibilities of using the physical activity to improve quality of life and health of patients with chronic kidney disease, especially the effects of strength training on functional and molecular markers and their relationship with clinical and prognostics outcomes of hemodialysed patients.
