Mgr. Aurel Zelko PhD. (1986) finished a study of sports educology at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Comenius University in Bratislava, in 2015. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the European Association of Preventive Cardiology, the European Society of Medical Oncology and the European Geriatric Medicine Society. During his practice as a lecturer, he had the opportunity to educate and later guarantee the educational programs for coaches of a Slovak Bodybuilding, Fitness and Powerlifting Association. At the present time, he is a researcher at the Department of Health Psychology and Research Methodology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJS. He was a member of investigatory team of an APVV research project no. 16-0490, in which he was active on dialysed patient research. He is a member of investigatory team of an VEGA research project no. 1/0177/20 and is a member of investigatory team of and Erasmus + Sport Collaborative Partnerships project „Physical activity-related injuries prevention in adolescents“. He is interested in possibilities of using the physical activity to improve quality of life and health of patients with chronic diseases, especially the effects of strength training on functional and molecular markers and their relationship with clinical and prognostics outcomes of patients with chronic diseases
