We invite you to an online forum on the possibilities of improving healthcare in Europe, especially in the area of patient safety.
The panel on new strategies in patient safety will be chaired by prof. Andrea Madarasová Gecková and one of the panelists is our colleague PhDr. Ivana Skoumalová, PhD., which will exist about the qualitative research on the psychological safety of health workers in Slovakia, which we carried out last year.

We are part of three submitted Horizon 2024 projects!!!

Our team was last week a part of three submited Horizon 2024 projects.

First is the CACE-EU Co-creating Accessible Care in Europe – Enabling Underserved Families with aim to improve access to health and care services – including preventive, primary and secondary care – for families in vulnerable situations by implementing a family navigation program to facilitate and optimize health and social care accessibility and usage and with that to improve health outcomes for these populations.

Second, People@Heart: Personalised, Predictive, and Participatory Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in a Learning Healthcare System has the main goal to implement a dynamic, Personalised, Predictive, and Participatory Prevention strategy to CVD and design a sustainable and scalable Learning Healthcare System, the spearhead being real-world evidence-based strategies for individualised primary prevention of CVD in both primary and secondary care settings, contextualised to diverse European healthcare systems.

Third, BridgeToFertility New therapeutic tools for non-receptive endometrium aim to provide a personalized approach to studying unexplained infertility and develop an artificial intelligence (AI) tool for predicting fertility status and treatment potential.

The inspiring DIPEx international meeting is behind us!

The meeting of the international network DIPEx international, 18 – 21 September in Hluboka nad Vltavou, Czech Republic, is over and we are glad that today we could present our first impressions from doing interviews about the system of care for adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems and about narcolepsy.

The 3rd edition of the Training School take place in Wiesbaden, Germany in September 18-21, 2023

The 3rd edition of the Training School take place in Wiesbaden, Germany in September 18-21, 2023 hosting 24 participants from 14 countries (Moldova, Serbia, Austria, Malta, Germany, Iceland, Estonia, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland, Azerbaiyan) as an outcome of our collaboration within cost action ERNST #CA19113 (https://cost-ernst.eu/). This enriching event is tailored for healthcare professionals and students, providing a unique opportunity to learn from top trainers from across Europe. Prof. Reinhard Strametz (Wiesbaden, Germany) introduce participant to the second victim phenomenon and prof. Jose Joaquin Mira (FISABIO Alicante, Spain) present various approaches to support second victims. Participants could discuss with frontliners providing support to second victims like Eva Potura from Austria (https://www.secondvictim.at/), Stephan Bushuven (NOTIS e.V.) and Susanne Heininger (PSU-Akut e. V., https://www.psu-akut.de/#about) from Germany.  Thanks to Sofia Guerra Paiva (NOVA, Lisabon Portugal) training manual is available online (https://trainingmanual.cost-ernst.eu/) and thanks to Joana Raquel Chaves Fernandes anybody could pass a training online (https://course.cost-ernst.eu/). Our team participated on preparation of these trainings and serve as trainers.

We attended PARIPRE workshop and PARIPRE Project Final Meeting

On September 6th, 2023, Physical activity-related injuries prevention in adolescents (PARIPRE) workshop and PARIPRE Project Final Meeting took place in Prešov, Slovakia.

The goal of the meetings were to discuss the current state of the project and further steps needed to ensure successful project completion.
